Senior Help and Housing

‘Joyous retirement is living where your heart is, without losing the freedom to make your own decisions.’

While we are living longer, aging and longevity awareness become  inevitable. We aspire to excel in senior care and aim to ease seniors’ partners and families as well, by providing available resources and appropriate community support. To date, there are various personalized home health devices and aids available to help seniors and their families on the daily challenges and emotional toll.

By 2030, 10.8 million Californians will be over the age of 60. Same way in other states- it is important for older adults to receive the appropriate care and support they need. Caregivers play an essential role in ensuring the well-being of older adults and people with disabilities. – California Department of Aging (CDA)

If you are lost on where to spend your senior years, and could not figure out the pros and cons, or where you can save more, RLabNet reps and managers can help. We can also match your needs to the appropriate caregivers experienced in your current conditions, at the same time help you figure out when or where to retire without losing the freedom to make your own decisions and enjoy retirement.

On a bird’s eye view, if your focus is cost, staying in your own home is no doubt the place where you can save utmost because you simply need not pay for the dwelling. All you likely need is an effective, truly caring caregiver and/or housekeeper. However, if your house maintenance cost , insurances , HOAs , car maintenance and gas including weekly food supplies totaled outrageously, you may end up more cost- efficient staying in community living. So do the calculations and comparisons. Remember however that if eventually you need a personal caregiver, the community living does not provide this, and you need to hire personal caregivers yourself like when you are living in your own home. Caregivers’ cost can be as low as $ 280 a day. Work ranging from mere companionship and prepping meals, to other basic caregiver chores. The rates can get as high as $ 450 or over- a day, depending on the level of care needed. If the care and needs will be on almost hourly basis like close health monitoring, a 24- hour or daily based caregiver is not recommended, but the per shift terms are appropriate. Shifts by standard are twelve 12, eight 8 or six 6-hour shift (minimum). Caregivers’ shifts can be arranged on your preferred days, and number of days per week. Our affiliate HomeHealth and homecare agencies have been serving the community for decades with varied adjustable rates and schedules at your convenience.

Some seniors sell their homes and opt for community living without the worries on household maintenance cost, daily meals and enjoy the community friends or camaraderie. Living in the community, however would not include a personal caregiver, because aides or helpers in the community, in hospitals and other senior living facilities are assigned to a number of residents, and wait time for help is expected. For seniors who eventually will be needing a personal caregiver, facilities will advise an add- up hire of a personal caregiver which cost is exclusive of the monthly community living cost.
